From 11–14 August 2025, Africa Improved Foods (AIF) held our annual SHE Week, a four-day initiative dedicated to strengthening our culture of Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE). The week engaged employees across departments through interactive sessions, wellness activities, and a safety drill; all aimed at building healthier habits, safer behaviors, and stronger teamwork

Highlights:

• Leadership set the tone, and employees echoed it with a powerful Safety Pledge, a reminder that safety is a shared responsibility we all carry together.
• A special masterclass by MDR, our CEO “From Compliance to Commitment: Moving Beyond Rules to Genuine Care for SHE”, where employees were inspired to evolve from simply following safety rules to truly living them through care and commitment for SHE.
• Wellness screenings, nutrition awareness, and mental health sessions helping employees make informed lifestyle choices.
• WASH and cancer awareness programs equipping staff with knowledge to protect themselves and their families.
• A successful unannounced fire drill testing our readiness and ensuring emergency preparedness.
• Recognition of SHE Champions, celebrating individuals who went above and beyond in promoting SHE values.
• A debate where teams engaged in meaningful dialogue on critical workplace safety issues in a fun and engaging way.

Beyond activities, the real impact of SHE Week was the renewed sense of ownership it created. Employees walked away more informed, more engaged, and more committed to making safety part of everyday work and life. Together, let’s keep this spirit alive beyond the SHE Week.
